I made this project with a boho blue card base and a basic white thick panel of cardstock 4 x 5 1/4 and another thick white panel that was stamped and ink blended at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 but cut down to 5 x 3 3/4 for the front of my card. I stamped the entire image which are multiple butterflies from stampin ups butterfly brilliance in versamark then sprinkled it with white embossing powder, heated and blended color on with blending brushes. I used 3 of stampin ups in colors for 2023-25, wild wheat, moody mauve and boho blue. I wrapped linen thread 3 times and tied a bow. I used the new thoughtful expressions dies for my label for the sentiment on wgich I also stamped a few abstract impression flowers on also. I am very happy with my diy background, this stamp is perfect for doing emboss resist with either ink blending or watercolor. I will be submitting this project to the following card challenges.

The technique of stamping, heat embossing and then blending with pastel colors is so pretty. You have certainly created a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing your "Background Personality" with us at Double Trouble.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great technique, Jill, and the result is so pretty! I have kind of forgotten about emboss-resist so thank you for the reminder and thank you for joining us at Double Trouble #156. - Melanie R.
