Double z fold

I made this double z fold using the Gift of Giving stamp set, available in the stampin up mini catalog.  I love the images in this set, so big and bold and perfect for christmas.  So easy to color using watercolor or your stamp and blends.  Would also be very easy to fussy cut any of the large bold images out bcause the shapes a pretty straight forward.  I used sweet sorbet as my card base and a retired stampin up that I find to be really beautiful, especially the back side of many of the sheets.  I cannot remember the name right now.  This card was so fun and easy to make.  Just looks like I spent forever on it.  I am not posting the card recipe right now because I am short on time but I will put on a later post or If anyone would like it let me know and I will do it ASAP.  I will be submitting to the following challenges:

Sparkling Season

I made this project using watercolor painters and watercolor paper and the ink colors lost lagoon, petal pink and pretty peacock.  I I then stamped the medium detailed snowflake from sparkling snowflakes (available in the stampin up mini catalog) in memento black and the sentiment in black as well.  I applied my inks with a wide water painter and dried with a heat gun on the low setting.  I then adhered the watercolor paper to a panel of pretty peacock and then to a basic white thick card front.

I stamped the small detailed snowflake from the same set as above in the same colors used above and the sentiment again in black.  I had this project done in under 5 minutes and am very happy with the finished result.  I will be submitting to the following challenges:

Spotlight on Sunflowers

I made this project using the stencils from the new stampin up mini catalog.  First I blended in basic gray then lined up my stencil in the same position and blended in azure afternoon, lemon lime twist and daffodil delight.  I then used the next to largest circle from stylish shapes and cut out an area then lined it up with the gray panel and adhered it with dimensionals.  I made sure it lined up perfectly with the area under it then stamped a sentiment from the retired celebrate sunflowers and using my paper snips made the banner.  I have not seen this done in this technique before using a stencil for the spotlight technique but was very happy with how it turned out.  I will be submitting to the following challenges:

Fall is here

I made this project using the new stencil from the stampin up mini catalog and the colore wild wheat, copper clay and cajun craze.  I also used a retired stampin up set for the die cut leaf and another new set from the mini catalog for the sentiment.  I used just some orange thread for the bow but It looks in the photo like it really picked up the copper clay from the leaf and the ink blending.  I used the rounded corner square from nested essentials that are in the annual catalog.  They are some really nice stand alone dies in the back of the catalog that can be used for so many different things.  This card went together so fast, I have discovered I love using the stencils for some ink blending, it makes a really nice background.  I will be submitting to the following challenges:

Hello Pumpkin

I made this project so both sides of this beautiful specialty DSP from stampin up can be seen.  Using pretty peacock and pumpkin pie inks and cardstock as well.  I know the dies used for the pumpkin are from the rustic pumpkin dies (retired from stampin up).  They go so well together and the metallic shine in the reverse side of this dsp is gorgeous.

I used pretty peacock ink for the sentiment and both ink colors for the leaf stamped.  I will be submitting to the following challenges.

A witchy Bookmark

I made this bookmark specifically for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  I chose the column with purple/sentiment/not a card.  This was out of my comfort zone and a challenge for me bc im pretty much a card purist.  This project however was very fun and came together very quickly.  I used all stampin up products.  I cannot remenber the name of the stamp set but I can tell you it is retired.  I used the colors blackberry bliss, gorgeous grape, highland heather and fresh freesia.  I also used crushed curry and pecan pie for the brooms but I think I should have enough purple to be accepted by the challenge (or should I say I'm hoping)  I was happy with this until I drew my own "spider web" in the lower left corner and embossed it and the little spider.  I am not overly happy with them but they are staying.  The ribbon used is also gorgeous grape and the the punch is I think the decorated tsg punch which will punch a 2inch wide top.

Framed Lights

I made this using the Merry & Bright (Stampin up new mini catalog) bundle.  This bundle is adorable and very versatile.  Makes the cutest projects.  I also used the gingham dsp also stampin up in the 23-24 annual catalog in blueberry bushel, lemon lime twist and berry burst.  I used the corresponding ink pads to ink blend a faint glow behind the lights so they look lit up.  I added in pretty peacock for the string and light pieces and to stamp the words inside and out.  I used the large frame from the fabulous frames dies (retired, stampin up), popped it up on dimensionals as well as the lights.  Used a standard A2 card usig basic white thick and attaching a panel if the merry and bright dsp to that.  I love how it has the same shape lights on it and there is another sheet with the more egg shaped bulbs, that shape can also be stamped and die cut.  I cant wait to start sending all of the cute christmas cards I have made with the new bundles I got from stampin up!!

I will be submitting to the following challenges:

I guess you could say I cased me project from Amy K. (My upline after Jamie, Hi!!) but I really had no intention of it, I got my inspiration from pinterest, I cannot remember the creators name but I very selectively edited hers using only the ink blending behind the lights.  I do think Amy is one of the most talented people I have ever seen so I could definitely be accused of  caseing her and be ok with it!!  In fact I did decide shortly after signing up to be a demonstrator that I loved the way she put the strip of matching DSP inside as well and began doing it, its so simple but adds such a wow factor that I couldnt imagine not doing it now.

Family Treat Bag

I am making about 20 of  these treat bags from tricks and treats and them bones (both now from stampin up in new mini catalog)  Not all exactly the same mainly because with these 2 bndles the possibilities are literally endless.  I love the stamps, the dies, the sentiments, the dsp from them bones is adorable but the glow in the dark paper is the best!!  I definitely feel like every image glowing would bee too much so I picked certain images and placed them all around and I love the balance I achieved!!  If nothing but the tag and the leg were glowing that would been enough but the little bats add that little something to wow it up.

This scene Is in honor of my hubby Nick and our dog Archie.  We actually got the little guy for our 9 year old daughter but he just happens to be the cutest Auggie (Corgi/Mini Australian Shepard) in the entire world and my husband fell in love immediately!!  He's not even a year old so hes still a puppy so he gets in trouble occasionally but Nick has never and will never be mad at him, even if he ran off with one of his limbs!!

Right after his first grooming looking so handsome in his little bandana and him
ready for halloween wearing his spider costume Nick bought him.  He loves that
man more than just about anyone.  Our dog thinks hes a little hooman because Nick
treats him like a little hooman.

I will be sumbitting to the following challenges:

Friendly Feathers

I made this using the hey chick and hey birthday chick sets (both retired from stampin up).  I have made a ton of birthday and christmas cards so I thought just a friendly hello card would be a nice change and the hey chick stamp for some reason caught my attention and made me laugh a little.  I also just love the skinny little wild haired chick.  I made the elements inside pop up just bc I thought it would add just a little extra to go with all the cuteness of the fun fold chicken coup.  I had so much fun making this and am thinking about making many more!!  I thought after finishing that for a place to write a message it would good to add a panel to the left side door or the very back.  Im thinking on this one I will use the door.  What do you think would be the best place?

I hope you and the person that receives this card enjoy it as much as I did making it.  My 9 year old girl said she loves it but anyone that is familiar with a 9 year old that could mean she loves it or hates it who knows lol.  I will be submitting this project to FarmQuest Challenge Blog because it definitely has a farm feel with plenty of feathers.
