Beautiful Baubles

I completed this project using pretty peacock for my card base, to stamp my snowflakes and to create the faux watercolor.  Everything used here is from stampin up but stamps and dies are retired.  I used the layering circles dies to cut out the baubles and I used the snow is glistening bundle for all the stamping.   I stamped the tree and cut the smaller circles to get the concentration of snowflakes, used a sentiment from that set and 2 different snowflakes to stamp after doing the faux watercolor.  I will be submitting this project to the following challenges:

Tags and gift box

I made this gift box and tags to give to a family member as a gift thinking she could use the adorable little tags from sending cheer, stampin up, bundle.  I also used the everyday details dies that will be available in the upcoming mini catalog, I got mine for me pre order and just love them.  I used the merry and bright dsp that is in the fall mini catalog along with sending cheer but will be retiring soon.  I actually made 3 of each tag but used different colors and changed each one up just a bit.

She texted me to tell me how much she loved them and that she was using them on packages and when we were at her house for the holidays could see she had used them and they looked so cute (I wish I had pictures of them being used but guess I forgot to get any.  I and my mommy were pleased with how this project turned out so I felot like It would be perfect to enter in the following challenges:

Winter Woods

I started this project with an A2 basic white thick base.  I used mossy meadow and the background stamp from the stampin up holiday mini catalog.  I used a sticker that came with some retired stampin up bundle called most wonderful time.  I used real red ink for the sentiment which came from the retired frosted gingerbread set.  I used an embossing pen and sprinkled a little white wmbossing powder on the ground and trees to give it the look of snow.  It was so fast and simple to make but bc stampin up has such beautiful stamps and all other products it looks like it would take forever bc it looks so detailed and beautiful.  The little deer fit perfectly on the right, he really looks like he belongs there.  I will be submitting this project to the following challenges:

ornamental holidays

I started this project with a piece of 81/2 x 11 basic white thick cardstock that I cut at 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4 to make a standard A2 sized card.  I cut the "limbs" from basic white cardstock and adhered, I used the ornamental elements dies from the stampin up holiday mini catalog and cut the ornaments from pretty peacock and berry burst, shimmer paper and cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment in versa mark and heat embossed with gold powder.  I finished it off with gold trim that I used to make double bows then attached the ornaments with stampin dimensionals.  I love this die set, it has such lovely ornaments and it is a very versatile set.  These colors look great together and while not really traditional colors they do work well as they work beautifully in place of red and just your average green.  Pretty Peacock is one of my absolute favorite colors from the color refresh stampin up had with the release of the annual catalog.  I couldnt be more pleased with the finished card and am planning on making more to hand deliver with christmas presents.  I will be submitting this project to the following challenges:

Joy

I made this project using products from stampin up, the colors are basic white, tahitian tide and silver embossing powder.  The large snowflake is from the retired christmas lights bundle and the sentiment is from the retired snow is glistening stamp set.  I also used balmy blue which is the color in the DSP in the background which is available for just a short time in the holiday mini catalog.
I will be submitting to the following challenges:

Birthday Royalty

I started this project with watercolor paper from stampin up.  I stamped the stars in versa mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I then used a mini mister to get the paper damp and using reinkers and watercolor painters to make the watercolor look.  On the lighter card I used azure afternoon, bubble bath and lemon lolly.  On the darker card I used pretty peacock, orchid oaisis and berry burst.

These turned out so good in both color combinations.  I cannot decide which one I like the most.  They were so easy with the hardest or I should say longest part was the stamping and heat embossing bc versa mark in a watermark ink so its very hard to see where any stamping is until after the powder is heated up and even that part is super easy.  I will be submitting to the following challenges:

Legos and lights

I cased this card from Lisa At lisa's stamp studio but changed all but maybe 1 thing.  The lights are all mine inside and out.  I chose the colors to enter this project in the Barrel of Monkeys Challenge.  I also embossed the circles on the white for the challenge.  The challenge for this month is legos so this is my take on them with a christmas twist.   Its such a fun little challenge to be involved with fun kids games and toys as the themes every month.  It certainly takes me back to my childhood!!  I am recommending anyone and everyone to go try and have some fun.

The inside white was cut off of the outside piece of course but its only glued around the sides and bottom so a gift card can be placed inside.  Am very happy with the final result and know exactly who will be getting this card with a gift card inside!!  I will be submitting to the following challenges:
