I made this using the Merry & Bright (Stampin up new mini catalog) bundle. This bundle is adorable and very versatile. Makes the cutest projects. I also used the gingham dsp also stampin up in the 23-24 annual catalog in blueberry bushel, lemon lime twist and berry burst. I used the corresponding ink pads to ink blend a faint glow behind the lights so they look lit up. I added in pretty peacock for the string and light pieces and to stamp the words inside and out. I used the large frame from the fabulous frames dies (retired, stampin up), popped it up on dimensionals as well as the lights. Used a standard A2 card usig basic white thick and attaching a panel if the merry and bright dsp to that. I love how it has the same shape lights on it and there is another sheet with the more egg shaped bulbs, that shape can also be stamped and die cut. I cant wait to start sending all of the cute christmas cards I have made with the new bundles I got from stampin up!!
I will be submitting to the following challenges:
I guess you could say I cased me project from Amy K. (My upline after Jamie, Hi!!) but I really had no intention of it, I got my inspiration from pinterest, I cannot remember the creators name but I very selectively edited hers using only the ink blending behind the lights. I do think Amy is one of the most talented people I have ever seen so I could definitely be accused of caseing her and be ok with it!! In fact I did decide shortly after signing up to be a demonstrator that I loved the way she put the strip of matching DSP inside as well and began doing it, its so simple but adds such a wow factor that I couldnt imagine not doing it now.
So fun, Jill, how cool these lights look in DSP - brilliant! Love your popped up frame, too! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

ReplyDeleteLovely and fun little lights in non-traditional colors. I love the little bit of color behind the lights to create a "glow". Thanks for joining Sunday Stamps this week.
